Pastor Ashley Osborn (she/her/hers)
Pastor
Pastor Ashley Osborn began her ministry at Valley of Peace on August 27, 2017. Pastor Ashley is a graduate of Augustana University in Sioux Falls and of Luther Seminary in St Paul. She previously served as Associate Pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Faribault, MN. She and her husband, Jon, live in south Minneapolis with their daughter, Clara and son, TJ.
Pace Warfield (they/them/theirs)
Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry
Pace Warfield (they/them/theirs), originally hailing from the Baltimore-Washington metro area, is a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, where their research interests include queer theology, Luther and Reformation history, and theological anthropology. In 2012, Pace received a Master of Arts from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, now United Lutheran Seminary. They write and edit curricula for Spirit and Truth Publishing, an educational company that specializes in Narrative Lectionary resources. Pace lives in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota with their partner and two adorable dogs. In their spare time, Pace enjoys going to the movies (especially horror movies), hiking, and teaching courses through the Diakonia.Faith collective.
Kelsey Pierson (she/her/hers)
Ministry Support Coordinator
Kelsey grew up in New Hope, MN and has attended VoP since her baptism in 1994. She graduated in 2016 from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Elementary Education and a Kindergarten Endorsement. She currently resides in Brooklyn Park with her husband, Zachary; their pup, Harper & their children, Emerson & Oliver.
Hsu-hui Wang (she/her/hers)
Director of Music
Hsu-hui Wang (pronounced Shü-whey), a native of Taiwan, has lived in the United States for many years. She is a graduate of University of Northern Iowa with a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting. Prior to Valley of Peace, Hsu-hui served as Music Director at Bethel Lutheran Church in South Minneapolis, Director of Music at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Wayzata, and Choir Director at North St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Hsu-hui and her husband live in the Uptown area. In her spare time, Hsu-hui enjoys walking around the lakes, visiting the State Parks, and creating something interesting in the kitchen.
Beth Brandt (she/her/hers)
Organist, Pianist and Accompanist
Beth grew up in Fridley, Minnesota where she attended St. Philip’s Lutheran Church and participated in many different church music activities. She attended college at the University of Minnesota, Morris where she received a B.A. in Music Performance (piano and euphonium) and a teacher license for K-12 Vocal & Instrumental Music. She also earned her Orff Schulwerk Certification through the University of St. Thomas. Beth currently teaches elementary music in the Edina Public Schools where she absolutely loves getting to spend her days dancing, singing, and playing with kindergarten, first, and second graders! Beth lives in Crystal with her husband and their two boys who are all active members of Valley of Peace.

Faith Formation Team
The Faith Formation Team shall develop, promote, and coordinate the Christian educational life of this congregation. It will embrace a variety of educational opportunities for Bible study and to bring the ministry of the Gospel to children, youth, and adults of this congregation.

This team is established to strengthen the life and faith of children, youth, and families of this congregation, ages birth to 22 years.

Worship Arts
The Valley of Peace Worship Arts team helps to coordinate creative work for our church. Our goal is to explore all the possibilities of worship, art, visuals and creativity for our church spaces and for our congregation members. Our primary focus is to create visuals to enhance our sanctuary throughout the seasons of the church year, reflecting the main themes and narratives for each season.
We also have hosted creative congregational events, and curated art installations, displayed in our Fireside Room.

Hospitality Team
This team is responsible to invite our neighbors to share in the mission of Christ’s Church. Christian fellowship and caring will be strengthened by fostering a spirit of hospitality, evangelism, sharing the Gospel, encouraging active participation, and worship.

This team shall extend Christian compassion and loving care, to meet the needs of people in relation to social conditions in the local community and society.

The Worship and Music Team is established to enable, encourage, and provide opportunities to bring this congregation and the community together to:
a. Worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
b. Hear the Word of God
c. Receive the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion
d. Be renewed in faith, strength, and peace
e. Provide strength to one another
f. Share the diverse resources we possess for the building of God’s kingdom

The World Missions Team is established to assist this congregation in fulfilling its commitment to God’s mission throughout the world. The spiritual, personal, and financial support of mission activities will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s kingdom throughout our community, nation, and the world.
