Groups At Valley of Peace
‘Quilters’ is an ongoing project which began almost 50 years ago, when the congregation was formed. The group has 5-8 women and they could increase their output with a few more members. Quilters meet the 4th Tuesday of every month year-round from 9:00 a.m. to however long people can stay. Feel welcome to join us. Coffee is served about 10:30 a.m. Bring your lunch if you plan to stay longer past noon.
Please call the church office, 763.588.4611, or e-mail Linda Peterson at email@example.com if you have any questions about the Quilters’ Group.

The Rebecca Circle meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, September through May, beginning with coffee at 9:30. Pastor Ashley leads the Bible study. No preparation is required to attend; all women are welcome!

The Book Club group meets for an hour at 6:30pm Wednesdays, during the school year (Memorial to Labor Day) in the Library (lower level of the church). It is a small group that reads about a book a month, seeking books that can be found at the public library. The discussions are low-key, respectful and casual. Weekly attendance is not required and it’s fine to join sporadically as books interest you.
If you enjoy reading and discussing books of a religious nature or on social justice issues or sometimes even a novel ties to one’s spiritual journey, this is the group for you. The group seeks a variety of perspectives. It commenced reading Rick Warren’s “Purpose Driven Life”. More recent readings include: “Living Buddha, Living Christ” by Thich Nhat Hanh, “The Jesus I Never Knew” by Philip Yancey “The Heart of Christianity” by Marcus Borg, “Walking the Bible” by Bruce Fieler and “The Given Day” by Dennis LeHane.
Call Sara Hoge at 612-247-8805 for information or the church office for the latest book or just show up! The group loves new faces!
